After finishing my portfolio website, I started considering the best ways to share it. Adding it to my resume and LinkedIn was an obvious step, but I also wanted a way to quickly provide my information in person. A business card was the most practical solution. While I’ve designed and sold many business card templates through my Zazzle print-on-demand stores, this was the first time I created one specifically for myself.
There were plenty of pre-made designs with customization options, but I wanted something that aligned with the style of my website. The final design is professional, straightforward, and optimized for efficiency, ensuring my contact details and website are easily accessible. I wasn’t sure how often I’d use it, but it has already proven to be a valuable addition. It makes sharing my information with future employers and peers effortless.
Going forward, I’ll continue using business cards as part of my professional materials. There have been many situations where having my resume on hand would have been useful, and now, with my website linked on my card and my resume available for download, I have a simple, effective way to provide my information when needed.
